First Visit Experience
We want every new patient to feel at home and comfortable when you visit the office, no matter what age you are – from children to seniors. From your first visit with us to every other checkup in between, we will always be here to genuinely listen to your concerns and take the time to talk through any issues. Your initial visit to the office could go a couple of ways depending on your specific dental needs. Some new patients see our hygienist first and some will visit Dr. Ottesen first. We try to make your treatment as custom and as personal as possible so your visit may be a little different than the next patient or someone in your family. If you or someone in your family has severe anxiety or is afraid of coming to the dentist, please let us know. We are happy to talk to you about the various ways we can accommodate nervous or fearful patients. We want you to feel at ease and like you are part of our extended dental family that continues to grow.

Amenities & Comforts
We’re always doing our best to help you feel at ease when you are with us – no matter what the reason for your visit. Our Niceville office, conveniently located in the Publix shopping complex, is wheelchair accessible. We offer water, soothing neck pillows, and soft blankets to add to your comfort while you are visiting with the dentist or the hygienist. Please do not hesitate to ask if there is something we can do to help you sit back and relax.
Payment Options and Insurances
Please bring your insurance information with you when you come to the office. Our team is happy to file a claim for you and do everything we can to maximize your benefits. All you need to do is pay the estimated portion up front. No insurance? No problem! Ottesen Family Dentistry is proud to offer a special in-house dental benefit program complete with a 20% discount on any restorative dentistry procedure. There is also a special price point in the benefit plan based on your family size for parents with children in need of dental work. We are also pleased to provide a 25% military discount for patients who are not in-network for the military’s active duty insurance. We accept all major credit cards and offer affordable, third-party financing through CareCredit.
